Where they started
Rivermate provides Employer-of-Record services — a SaaS category where buyers search with country names, legal questions and vendor comparisons. The company arrived with no SEO strategy at all: DR 16, 59 ranking keywords, 471 monthly visitors. In a market where established players own the SERPs, starting from scratch needed a plan, not publishing volume.
What we did
- Technical base first. Crawlability and indexation fixed, structured data implemented, site speed brought to standard — the boring 20% that makes the other 80% count.
- Keyword-led content engine. Every article mapped to a long-tail query with buyer intent (country-specific EOR questions, compliance comparisons), not to a content calendar. Existing pages optimized for their target terms.
- Authority from the right neighborhood. 223 links including thinkific.com (DR 91), paylocity.com (DR 90) and techbehemoths.com (DR 75) — HR-tech and SaaS domains whose relevance transfers.
- UX and lead capture. Navigation and conversion paths tightened as traffic compounded, so the curve showed up in demos booked, not just sessions.
By month 8 the site was doing in a day what it previously did in a month — 4,284 top-10 keywords built from 59.
