Discovered vs. crawled
This is one of the “why isn’t my page indexed” statuses in the Search Console Page Indexing report, and it is easy to confuse with its neighbor. “Discovered” means Googlebot has the URL in its queue but has not fetched it. “Crawled - currently not indexed” means Google fetched the page and then left it out. The discovered state points at crawl scheduling and site-level signals, not a verdict on the specific page’s content, because Google has not read it yet.
Google’s stated trigger is load: it expected the fetch to strain your server, so it deferred. In practice the status piles up for other reasons too. Thin or templated pages elsewhere on the domain can make Google deprioritize crawling similar URLs, and pages with few internal links or missing from the sitemap get little crawl pull.

Fix the pattern, not the single URL, and Google works back through the queue on its own.
