Location page

Also called: local landing page, city page, location landing page

A location page is a single web page dedicated to one physical business location, city, or branch. It carries that location's name, address, phone number, hours, and area-specific content so it can rank for "city + service" and "near me" searches tied to that spot.

A multi-location business builds one page per branch: /locations/austin, /locations/dallas, and so on. Each page should earn its own URL by carrying what a visitor to that specific branch actually needs: the exact street address, a local phone number, staff, parking and transit notes, real photos of the place, reviews from that market, and an embedded map. BrightLocal suggests keeping roughly 40 to 60 percent of the page unique to the location so the separate URL is justified.

The failure mode: doorway pages

The trap is copying one template and swapping only the city name. Google’s spam policies call this doorway abuse and list “having multiple domain names or pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page” as an example. Pages like that get filtered or ignored, and at scale they can drag down the rest of the site.

Pair each page with LocalBusiness schema whose name, address, phone, hours, and geo-coordinates match the page copy, then keep that NAP identical to the branch’s Google Business Profile and directory listings. That consistency is what lets Google connect the page, the profile, and the map pack.

A dentist with three offices, for example, wants three pages that read like three real offices, not one page cloned three times with the town name find-and-replaced. The test is simple: could this page only describe this one location? If yes, it earns its URL.

How it affects your traffic

Location pages are how a business with several branches captures "city + service" and "near me" demand that a single homepage can never rank for. Built right, each page becomes an entry point into the local pack and organic results for its own market; built as thin clones, they get ignored or drag on the whole domain. Our Local SEO service structures these pages (location-specific content, LocalBusiness schema, NAP consistency, and Google Business Profile alignment) so each branch pulls its own qualified local traffic instead of competing with itself.
